Sneak Peek Week

I had a Saturday morning session with a family who brought in their 12 day old newborn named Zariyah. Precious! She is such a good baby and very alert for just under 2 weeks old. Zariyah amazed me when she held up her head and looked over at me while her Grandmother held her on her shoulder after feeding her! She is one beautiful, strong little girl.

Enjoy.

It was great meeting her parents, Shaedra and Roysi, and her "YaYa" too. Wonderful visit, wonderful session and I had a great time with them all!

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to take your precious daughter's first photos!

What did she just say?!

Three dogs. That's what I have. Actually two are mine, one belongs to my daughter.

Kali, she's a Silver Labrador. Lukas, he's the German Shepherd. Chloe, she's a Shitzu and belongs to Kylene.

Every night when their food is in their bowls, we say "one, two, three, GO!" And they run to their bowls.

Tonight I tried something new. As the three of them are lined up eager to jump up and run, I decide to say:

"Un, dos, tres, VAN!"

Nothing. All I got was a snicker from my husband and three confused

Holiday Cards

Here is a sneak peek of a few of my Holiday Cards that I custom make available to my client's for their Holiday Sessions.

You can purchase them separate and add an image from a prior session. The cost is $45.00 for a set of 24. I can customize the saying on any cards.

Many Faces of Jayden

Jayden, my grandson, is happy to be my test session prior to my 'real' sessions coming in. He's such a ham in front of the camera! I just get a kick out of his sillyness! But, in order to get him to be serious, we have to go through a series of funny faces prior.

San Antonio Trip

I've been busy, I know, but sometimes we just need to get away. And my hubby and I did just that. We headed for San Antonio last weekend. Neither of us have been and we heard wonderful things about San Antonio so we drove out Friday afternoon.

What I liked about San Antonio first was the historic feel to the city. Unlike many cities these days, there’s no historic feel to them. I don’t know why, but many cities feel the need to tear down the old and replace with the new. San Antonio still

New Hat Additions

With all the day to day things I have going on you’re probably wondering how I can squeeze in new additions to my hat collection. I think I’m close to 60 hats now. It’s good to have a large variety for my newborn props and it’s also good to make several available for my clients. I’ve added these few to my collection on my website.

Here are a couple of old timey bomber hats for the boys:

A couple of cuties for the girls.:

A friend of mine sent me a picture of a hat she saw and asked me to re-create it, minus the ‘teeth’. It was quite the challenge, but I believe I pulled it off. Under the smile were 3 or 4 teeth, which I eliminated, per her request. This is the end result:

Then, I decided to create my own version with a little twist:

After I created it, I realized it has the Mardi Gras colors. So, you NOLA friends expecting or know someone who's expecting – better grab this one!

And here are a couple of elf hats and holiday hats:

Again, all the hats above, as well as several others, are all available on my website: under Newborn Hats/Headbands.

Great holiday gifts! **wink**

Wow - Another Sneak Peek

Axel Gabriel.

He is such an adorable little guy!

And his smile just melts my heart.

This boy LOVES to smile.

I've been doing Axel's session since he was 3 weeks old. I cannot believe he's already 6 months! Amazing how fast they grow! He was a trooper throughout the session, but at the tail end, he finally said enough by giving me a quick smile, then a fake fussing session. It was the cutest thing I've seen.

Axel and Tanny, you have been blessed with a precious, adorable little boy! Thank you for letting me watch him grow up. I'll be seeing you all for his 1 year old session!

Here's handsome little Axel.

Holiday Sessions are booking up quick

Tiger's Blunder

As I was going through various internet places last night getting caught up from the past couple of weeks of falling behind, I came across this photo attached to a link leading to Foxsport.com and had to laugh.

Not only is this a great shot from a photographer's perspective, it also tells a detailed story of all them golf fans. I mean, just look at their faces! Every single one of them has their eye on that ball as far back as you can see. And the guy to the far right, the one with that huge cigar sticking out of mouth, is classic!

And, not only is this a great shot from a photographer's perspective, it also tells a detailed story of a lens once alive and full of focus. Not anymore. Tiger's attempt to chip onto the green failed and careened directly into the lens of London's Daily Mail photographer, Mark Pain. Heck, if I got a shot like this, I wouldn't shed a tear about my lens either!

I just love this shot!

Sneak Peek Week

Awww! This precious, sweet little girl named Emily came to my studio Saturday, September 19th for her newborn session. And she's just a mere 2 weeks old. Isn't she just adorable?! And was she a perfect angel! Emily arrived with a full belly and was completely out for her session. It was possibly one of my fastest sessions yet. Emily holds the record. She was full of smiles as well. Just a precious, precious little girl.

Kelly and Derek, thank you for allowing me to capture your sweet Emily for her newborn session!

Here's a few from her session. Enjoy . . .

Back In The Saddle Again . . .

Ok, so I fell off my horse and have been MIA for a month now. On here anyway. September was a busy month for me. Sessions. A not-so-fun trip to New Orleans to pay respects to a sweet, dear friend and her family. A trip to California to visit family. And the flu. All in that order.

I'll have a couple of Sneak Peeks coming soon for your viewing pleasure.

Took a much needed vacation to California to visit family. Was great to see everyone. Can't believe how much all my nieces and nephews have grown! I'm happy to say, I'll have plenty of senior portraits coming soon at the rate they are going! Ray and I saw our beloved New Orleans Saints kick the San Francisco 49ers to the curb! Well worth pushing our trip up a few days for that game! Spent lots of time with my Mom. GREAT to see her. And, of course, time with my brothers and their families. Need to make sure we don't wait another year to make a trip back home.

Went to a wonderful Pear Festival in Kelseyville, CA while visiting. Wonderful craft booths, food, drink and wonderful weather. I sure miss the small town type festivals!

The only bummer about this trip was I picked up the flu. Fevers one night and cough the rest of the time. Energy was low, but not at a stand still. And then to fly home with it was no fun at all. That flying just enhanced the symptoms after I arrived home.

Spent the weekend editing my last 2 sessions I completed before our vacation, and crocheting the last of the hats.

Now I'm all caught up. Time to pay attention to the blog, get my holiday prices posted, make some new holiday card templates and answer the emails and calls for sessions. It's gonna start to get busy.

Have a wonderful October, everyone!
