Butterflies, or as my Grandson says: "Butterswies!"

We took a trip to the Museum of Natural Sciences in Houston and headed in to see the Butterflies. My grandson loves butterflies! He keeps an eye out for me so I won't miss any pictures of the butterflies. And they do have some beautiful butterfiles!

And a lovely picture of my beautiful daughter, Kylene and adorable grandson, Jayden.

Art Day at Nana's House

I just love to watch my grandson, Jayden, and his little hands at work when he's into something. 3 year-old hands are just precious.

Today, he wanted to paint a picture for his cousin back in North Carolina. Maya really misses her cousin Jayden. She keeps a picture of him by her side always. She sleeps with it and takes it to daycare with her. Maya is 4 years old. We will send this painting, along with a couple of pictures of Jayden painting it, to her tomorrow. She will be so surprised!

Jayden's concentration is amazing. The only thing that can break that concentration is his favorite show, Dora the Explorer!

Oh, and the word "Fruit Snack". That's when the selective hearing kicks in.

Discovery Green

Today my daughter and I took my grandson, Jayden, to Discovery Green in downtown Houston. It's a 12 acre fun area for Adults and Children. There's a park, stages for performances, green space, small lake, vendors and 2 fountain areas for the kids on a hot summer day.

Lots of kids his age to run around with in the fountains.

I think he had himself a grand 'ole time here. Great place to run off the energy of a 3-year-old!

The Laws Of German Shepherd Property‏

1. If I like it, it's mine.
2. If it's in my mouth, it's mine.
3. If I can take it from you, it's mine.
4. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
5. If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
6. If I'm chewing something up, all the pieces are mine.
7. If it just looks like mine, it's mine.
8. If I saw it first, it's mine.
9. If you are playing with something and you put it down,

it automatically becomes mine.

BUT . . .
10. If it's broken, it's yours.
