HLN's Blunder

Back in May of last year, there was a story on HLN about a large alligator caught in the Bayou near Biloxi, Mississippi. The story went on while showing several people standing on the shore of this Bayou scratching their heads, taking pictures, and telling their story of this huge alligator. Then, something caught my eye. I rewound the story, grabbed my camera and shot the image on TV.

Do you see it?

Bottom line 800 Pound Gator Caught In Bayou Trappers Use Rope, Duck Tape, Fork Cliff

Can you believe this?! FORK CLIFF?!

And to think this is someone at HLN typing that stuff in!

LOL

Yes, I'm going through my photo files again . . .

The Karate Kid

I attended a studio lighting class this past Saturday.

I do this from time to time to learn any new techniques that may be out there.

And, it’s a great way to meet new friends, learn new techniques and have a fun time.

One of our ‘models’ was a

Wha?

A few days ago, as I was bundled up on my cozy chair, with my cozy robe, my fuzzy socks, cozy blanket (yes, it was 29 outside IN TEXAS, believe it or not) and my hot cup of coffee between my freezing hands, I tune into HLN as I do each morning at 7:30 am. The first thing I’m hit with is news about a new Zodiac sign. Interesting, I thought. According to the astronomers, there was a wobble in the earth’s axes some 2,000 years ago that caused the astrological position to shift and the current astrological positions no longer apply. What? So, they’ve added a 13th sign they call “Orphichus”, known as the Serpent Holder, for people born between November 29 and December 17, which, in turn, is shaking everyone else’s’ sign as well.

I rewind the DVR, and listen to it again. Ah, that's what I THOUGHT they said.

I was

Hello New Year!

Hello blog world. No, I haven’t forgotten about you, it’s just been a busy start to the New Year. This is a good thing.

I hope all your holidays went well and fun. And a wonderful New Year to boot. Ours was fantastic in both categories. Christmas was another wonderful day. Spending it again with Kylene and Jayden was fun. Watching his little face light up just warms my heart.

Ray and I had our New Years Eve out on the 30th and stayed in New Years Eve so Kylene can enjoy that night Jaydenless. The 3 of us (Ray, Jayden and I) watched a couple of movies and then had our little toast at midnight. 12:05 am Jayden was out! New Years Day Ray’s daughter, Michelle, came to visit. Chocolate Martinis and Monopoly finished up the day. What a Riot!

I’ve been spending the last 2 weeks wrapping up an Album for a client of ours and attending some classes. It’s been busy and I’m enjoying it.

Thought I’d share few shots from Christmas.

Jayden is crazy about Dinosaurs. He's infatuated with them teeth!

Justin torturing the dog with Jayden's Dinosaur!

Justin showing his artwork. Hasn't change much since 1st grade, unfortunately.

Ah, Lukas finally found his present!

And Kali, hers.

Ready to see the Texans!

He's been wanting to shave for so long. Now he can shave with Pop. Yep, that's a Saints jersey he has on. He's a Saints fan through and through!

Sweet Chloe. Kylene's puppy. Lukas' sidekick. Funny to see these two play the way they do.

Ray studying up on his new Kindle.

My picture of him doing just that.

Jayden loving him some Hulk and Iron Man.

My big doggy and his BIG feet!

Vikings vs. Saints. All. Day. Long. This boy LOVES football. Honestly, there are some mornings where I literally have to tell him "Jayden, no talking about football today." If I don't, it's non-stop. All. Day. Long!

Mac. Jayden's other friend.

Nell? Well I believe she was the only one who had sense to stay in bed Christmas morning! Smart kitty.

New Years Day night. Justin, Michelle, Jayden, Ray, me and Kylene. Wonderful day!

Here's Jayden entertaining everyone with his preaching. Yes, preaching. He has his microphone in hand and the good lord in his soul! Hallelujah! And Amen!
