Holiday Session Special

Our Holiday Sessions will be a little different this year.   Instead of limiting our Holiday Sessions to one day with a variety of time slots, we will offer one morning session and one afternoon session during weekdays only from November 5 through 16.  Giving you plenty of time to plan.

There will only be two local locations to choose from:  Mercer Arboretum or Deussen Park near Lake Houston.  These will fill up, so please book soon.

Precious 6 Month Session

I had a wonderful time with precious Beverly for her 6 month old session. She was just as adorable as can be. We did her her newborn session, and look forward to her 1 year old session!
Here's the beautiful princess at her newborn session:

And here she is at 6 months. Such a sweetie! I love her little pink outfit!

Fun August Sessions

It's been a blast this month capturing 1 year old cake smash sessions to say the least!  I love the fun we've been having, especially when a client comes back for another session.  I want to share one that I did early on this month.

The first time I met this precious little princess was when she was a newborn a year ago.

When her mommy, Beth, emailed me that she wanted to get her 1 year old pictures done, I was thrilled.  Addie was just as cute as can be and fell in love with the camera, as much as I fell in love with her!  It

Six Years Ago Today . . .

Six years ago today, my beautiful daughter, Kylene, gave birth to my first grand child, Jayden.  I was unable to be their for his birth due to a family emergency happening at the same time.  It was a very bitter-sweet day.  Saying goodbye to someone so very dear to me, and hello to another.  Amazing how fast those six years have gone by!

I thought I'd share some of my favorite images of Jayden over the years.

I remember when I first met this little bundle of joy, he was 6 weeks old.  Kylene and Jayden flew out to New Orleans for a visit.  Ray and I couldn't let go of that baby the entire time he was there!

He had some of the most serious looks for a baby!  I knew he was gonna be a thinker!

I flew out to Charlotte the following October to shoot a wedding and stayed with Kylene and Jayden.  He was almost 4 months.  Amazing how fast they grow when you're not physically there to witness

Kylene's Wedding

My beautiful daughter, Kylene, married her best friend of 7 years, Eric. It was a simple, Courthouse wedding, but beautiful all the same.

Kylene chose her best friend since they were 10, Kassandra, as her Maid of Honor, and Eric had his best friend since they were toddlers, Mario, as his Best Man. After the ceremony, we went to a park next to the Courthouse for pictures. Saturday we had a huge picnic as their reception. I have never had a better time at any reception then I had at this one! Very relaxing, kids laughing, great music in the background, wonderful family and friends. Basketball, football, grilling on the BBQ and lots and lots of

Baby Cruz

Meet Baby Cruz. What an adorable little guy he was. Cruz slept for a minute, then he wanted to watch all the action.

Thanks Shannon and Josh for choosing me to capture Cruz's newborn pictures. It was a pleasure meeting you all!

Newborn Sneak Peek

This precious little girl made it a point to be the first newborn in my studio to break the record for staying awake the longest. I was able to capture a couple of sleeping moments and those lasted for about 5 minutes! I heard when she got home she slept the rest of the day off. At least mommy and daddy got a nice break for awhile.

Thanks for bringing "A" into the studio. It was great having you all here!

On A Hunt for the Yearly Bluebonnets

I made Ray get up early to join me on my mission to find Bluebonnets out in the hill country. I knew I wouldn't be the only one either. After the recent rains we've had I knew we would luck out! And boy did we.

Taking Hwy 290 towards Austin we saw quite a few fields of Bluebonnets, and, tons of people. I normally don't like to stop where everyone else is, so Ray and I take along a map and head down roads where no one else travels. I find lots of unspoiled fields of Bluebonnets. Although this year the Indian Paint Brushes (or as Ray so excitedly called them "Pinkbonnets") were flourishing more than the Bluebonnets.

Many of these are off the beaten path off Hwy 105 heading to Conroe.

Enjoy!

Baby Andrew

After sooooo many baby girls, I finally got a baby boy! I was so excited to have him come to my studio.

Meet Baby Andrew! His mommy, Kristin and I had a wonderful time. He was such a character and kept us in stitches!

Thanks again, Kristin, for bringing Andrew over. He's a handsome little guy!

Baby Genesis

Sweet baby Genesis has been trying to get into the studio since she was born. She finally made it in for her 3 month old session. What an adorable little girl she is! She sure is a cutie!

Maternity Sneak Peek

What a busy month! In between a slew of precious newborns, it was nice to get 'out' and capture the "P" family for an on-location maternity session. They are due towards the end of March. We had a wonderful time.

Thanks again for allowing me to capture this precious moment in your lives!

Oh Baby Baby!

Another newborn! They are coming in and I'm LOVIN' it!

Shawnna & Matt brought their precious Beverly in for her newborn session. What a beautiful little girl she was. She was a stretcher and made sure she took her time for her photoshoot! Cuteness is a demanding job, and she pulled it off!

Maternity and Newborn Session

I met a wonderful couple a few weeks back that were expecting their first child, a girl. We had a beautiful maternity session at their home, and a week later their daughter was born. A gorgeous little girl for a beautiful family!

Lifestyle Session

I had a wonderful family lifestyle session with the Houlton children, Zach and Zoey. Each year we get together for a lifestyle session and we have a blast. Zach and Zoey are adorable and love each other so much, I love to watch them interact.
We shot the session at Mercer Arboretum in Humble. Beautiful place in all seasons!
I enjoy shooting lifestyle sessions with children. It’s an opportunity to relax and let the kids be themselves. Parents really enjoy these too as they are relaxed and laughing and not worrying if the kids will give the perfect pose or smile. And the kids? Well, they are having a blast making goofy faces with the camera, laughing, running and basically being just what they are -- KIDS!
