It was.
And, it was a bit crowded as well.
What I don't understand -- these umbrellas along the beach rent for $20.00, I believe 2 chairs come with them. Why rent, when you can buy a nice umbrella and a couple of chairs and you don't have to be stuck right next to people on either side of you.
I guess many like to be right on the water's edge
The water was warm. Usually about 85 degrees in the summer. It's like you're stepping into a bath. So much for 'cooling' off when you get hot.
We walked out on the rocks, or man-made boulders, and headed down where the fishermen usually hang out. Felt good out there - had a good breeze going. A bit cooler until you started to feel that heat reflecting off the rocks
The view was nice from there as well.
We walked along the beach for awhile. Lots of seaweed washed ashore. That also felt weird when you stepped on it in the water, or when it wrapped around your feet! Just too much of it. Didn't see any 'tar balls' in the water. I guess all that's contained out our way. I'm still not too sure about swiming out in the water. Although all the 'tests' have been completed from the 'experts' who claim the water is safe to swim in.
The birds were enjoying all that seaweed.
We stayed a few hours, grabbed some dinner and headed home.
It was a good day.
