I've Added Some New Hats!

I'm finding that crocheting is relaxing after a busy day! It also forces me to take breaks away from the computer, which I need because if I had my way, I'd be on it until the wee hours in the morning. You know, this time management stuff is a little tricky! So, in the evening, when all is settled, I'll enjoy time with the family watching a movie and crocheting.

I've added some new hats, as well as hat and diaper cover sets.

All hats in my gallery can be made with any color combination upon request. And if you have any recommendations, send them my way. I'll do the best I can to create it for you. Thomas the Train and the Tiger were requests, so as they come, I add them to my collection.

New Hat Additions

With all the day to day things I have going on you’re probably wondering how I can squeeze in new additions to my hat collection. I think I’m close to 60 hats now. It’s good to have a large variety for my newborn props and it’s also good to make several available for my clients. I’ve added these few to my collection on my website.

Here are a couple of old timey bomber hats for the boys:

A couple of cuties for the girls.:

A friend of mine sent me a picture of a hat she saw and asked me to re-create it, minus the ‘teeth’. It was quite the challenge, but I believe I pulled it off. Under the smile were 3 or 4 teeth, which I eliminated, per her request. This is the end result:

Then, I decided to create my own version with a little twist:

After I created it, I realized it has the Mardi Gras colors. So, you NOLA friends expecting or know someone who's expecting – better grab this one!

And here are a couple of elf hats and holiday hats:

Again, all the hats above, as well as several others, are all available on my website: under Newborn Hats/Headbands.

Great holiday gifts! **wink**

Been Busy

As most of you know, I have been super busy making some adorable newborn hats. It's relaxing and I'm enjoying it. I find myself, after my day is over with, sitting down grabbing my yarn and crocheting away. They're available for sale on my website - Zaffiro Images - under "Newborn Hats". I now have headbands available.

Here's a sneak peak of a couple.

These will be available shortly on my site. So check back often as I am always adding new hats and headbands, of course!

Newborn Hats

I have a few newborn session lined up that I'm pretty excited about. I really enjoy capturing newborns, especially when I can get them under 3 weeks old. They're super easy to work with since they are asleep 90% of the time. And when you have sleeping babies, you have adorable photos!

I have been spending time recently gathering props for my newborn sessions. A few weeks ago I was on a mission to buy some cute little knitted hats. What I was looking for I couldn't find. After inspecting some of these cute little hats closer I challenged myself. And that challenge was to make my own newborn hats.

So, off I went to the craft store and bought yarn. Lots of yarn. And I made my own. I made LOTS of my own! It's almost addictive and I can't stop.

I look forward to my upcoming newborn sessions and to be able to use these adorable hats.

Some day I'll start selling these . . .
